  • MAYBANCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND SPED CENTER
  • Maybancal Elementary School is located in Maybancal, Morong, Rizal. Maybancal Elementary is a barrio school situated in a hill-top portion of barangay Maybancal, town of Morong with .5076 sq. m. land area. Maybancal Elementary School was established in 1920 where the first makeshift room was made of cogon and bamboo, under the municipal President Maximo A. Pascual and councilor Adriano Natividad. 
    After two years the school was replaced with a room of wood, which was given by the Catholic Church. The school was then lead by Mayor Maximo Pascual and the first teacher was Ms. Pastora Martinez who was handling grade 1 and grade 2. Ms. Martinez was then replaced by Ms. Cortez and Ms. Martidido from Bicol. Two classroom were founded for grades three and four handled by Ms. Fausta Francisco and Ms. Pilar Buenaventura under the supervision of Monico Mateo as the school head of Maybancal Elementary. Mr. Sunga was then the successor of Mr. Mateo and he stayed for several years.
    A semi-permanent three-room building was constructed sometime between 1929 and 1930 for P 32,300.00. With the increasing enrolment more classrooms were built under the municipal Mayor Jose Alegre. Mr Alfredo Sanga, Mrs. Pastora San Diego and Ms. Manalastas were the teachers assigned at that time.
    During the last few days of the Japanese revolution, the school reopened. After it was burned and lead the pupils to held their classes in nearby houses. A new four room in semi-permanent building was constructed and held classes for primary levels. When pupils turned grade V and VI, they transferred to Tomas Claudio Memorial Elementary School located in the center of the town of Morong. 
    Maybancal Elementary School then catered pupils coming from different barangays in Morong particularly Bombongan, San Guillermo, Calero, Caingin, Lagundi, Caniogan and of course Maybancal. 
    The rapid increase of enrolment called for the opening of grade V and VI classes and the school became complete by the year 1963. The first teacher-in-charge was Ms. Lourdes C. Alegre in 1966, then Ms. Divina Salvador as head teacher and followed by Mr. Dionisio Turbanada in 1968, Ms. Florencia Angeles in 1969 and Ms. Gelacia C. Mateo as the first principal in 1970. 
    Through provincial aid, a six room additional building and an H.E. building were constructed in 1970.
    During the SY 1977-1978 the school has a total of 423 pupils with 15 teachers. 
    As of now, the school has 25 teachers offering services from preschool up to the sixth grade and also special education for children with hearing impairment, autism and intellectual disabilities.
